Do you know what it feels when your dream come true!? I'm sure you do. Each of us at some point, fulfill some of own dreams. Smaller, bigger, but they are there. We all have plans, we pursue them, we do everything to achieve the goal and we get there. We want a better job, we want to see the Louvre, we want to start a family, we want to climb Mount Everest, we want to go to a favourite artist's gig, we want to dance all night or we want to eat strawberries in the middle of winter. Life is made up of small pleasures. These are all our plan-dreams. And you know that feeling when you succeed, right! That feeling of accomplishment and unadulterated joy, that moment of absolute elation and simple contentment with the present moment.
And do you know how it feels to fulfill your biggest dream!?
Such, seemingly unattainable, not even a plan-dream, just a dream, an image. A goal so far away that you just smile thinking about it: "Hmmm...maybe someday...maybe when I'll be old, in certain age, maybe I will succeed or when I am rich. Yes, when I'll be rich - that's for sure!" Then you go back to your daily routine and push the dream images away from your nose with your hands and feet, not letting the colours of that dream nest too strong under your eyelids.
But my subconscious was probably working all the time. The cogs were grinding these visions, while at work I was grinding excel, somewhere there was constantly appearing information about Australia, I was catching the news, Sunday mornings in bed with BBC about Great Barrier Reef's underwater world was a mandatory point in the weekend schedule of relaxation. On top of that there was a bit of luck (let's not hide it), hard work, lots of sacrifices and difficult moments, but also a bit of fate and the ability to grab hold of life every day!
We did it.
I flew here, drove to the heart of the coral reef and immersed myself in its beauty.
It's a great moment, it's a moment I will talk about everywhere and all the time, I will brag about it, I will remember it, I will celebrate it and cherish it because I am proud of myself.
I have achieved what I have dreamed of since childhood.
