Siema!!!

Guys, I've been playing with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation from the very beginning. No matter where I am, I always support the greatest charity in the world.

This year I decided to join a group of wonderful volunteers and set up an e-Piggy bank to be able to play extremely hard and loud this year. Why?

The Orchestra played for the first time in 1993. I was 11 then. From the beginning, I felt the magic of good hearts, this unique atmosphere of elation and excitement and emotion that enveloped you from the inside. Nothing warms you up in the middle of winter like people united in joy, generosity and love. I was so excited that I put all the money I had and all the gold jewelry (which I received as a souvenir of my first communion) into the can of a volunteer standing at the Łuków Cultural Centre. I still remember the confused faces of my parents. They didn't know whether to praise me or scolding me! :)

This is how my playing with the Orchestra began!

Exactly one year later, during the winter holidays, which that year were snowy and winter... I fell ill with sepsis.

It is not known how it happened and where it came from. Probably from untreated flu (watch out for flu!). It got me in three days, I did not get out of bed, and in a fever of over 40 degrees, I tried to convince my grandma that I could see the forest burning outside the window.

I ended up in the hospital at the last minute. The doctors said that 12 hours later I would be dead. This is how sepsis kills.

Sepsis is a set of reactions caused by an uncontrolled, quick and effective reaction of the body to the action. In the course of sepsis, multiple organ drive, shock and death can occur within a few hours.

It's a general system failure.

My kidneys failed, my liver began to fail and meningitis developed. My whole body ached, petechiae appeared, I had fever, photophobia, stiff neck, convulsions, cosmic fever and fainted from time to time. I'll spare you the rest of the descriptions.

I spent 6 weeks in the hospital, including two in the Intensive Care Unit.

It was not an easy experience. The amount of antibiotics that was pumped into me was unimaginable, and I struggled with the effects of sepsis for several more years.

But thanks to the quick reaction of the doctors and their wonderful care, I was able to keep me on the ground.

Once again, thank you very much for saving my life - especially uncle (GP) Jurek, who first recognized the symptoms of sepsis, and aunt (GP) Izabela, who took care of me in the ICU. And all the nurses whose names I can't remember. I give a huge thank you and bow to the waist.

But it's all good now. I'm alive, I'm healthy. And it's great.

That's why, my dears, it is so important to me that this year we give cheers and support with all our strength the action of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity!!!!

Below is a link to my e-Piggy. I would like to ask for at least a symbolic dollar, cent, rupia, zloty, pound etc. This is a very important action for me. Let my participation be a thank you for a second chance. Please join me. Keep sharing my testimony and let's share the love.

Let's save someone's life.

We play until the end of the world and one day longer!

SIEMA!
