Vivid Sydney 2022 is back after two years.

I invite you today for a short relation from the light and music festival that finally returned to Sydney after two years of covid bans. I was very happy for this festival, because the first one we got in 2019 made a really great impression on us. Back then, it was the largest festival of lights, music and ideas in the world. During the three weeks of its duration, a record 2.4 million people participated in it.

Vivid Sydney features immersive outdoor light installations and projections, performances by local and international musicians, and a forum for the exchange of ideas for public talks and debates with leading creative thinkers.

The event usually takes place in May and June. Vivid Sydney's focal point is light sculptures, multimedia interactive work and projections on buildings that transform into landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge in and around Sydney's central business district and become an open-air night canvas of art .

The 2020 and 2021 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so our expectations were high. We were hungry for attractions. See for yourself what it was like this year.
